Reviews
Had 2 nights here whilst on a motorbike tour of the lakes. Very impressed. Lovely comfy clean beds with a great shared dining / cooking / sitting area. Wifi was an added bonus and the views were fantastic. To make the stay even better the staff at the wheat sheaf pub were brilliant, not forgetting the awesome food. Will be returning. Thanks for a great stay.
We spent a quiet May weekend at the bunkhouse in the gable room. Agree with all the other reviews and can add that we loved the decor from the eclectic collection of chairs and tables to the fabrics used on the furnishings and cushions. This was a very comfortable and cozy place to stay.
We stayed Wed-Thu nights (unfortunately Fri booked up) and I can’t say enough good things about this place. Great bunks and bathroom, good provenance on the fittings and from what we saw – well thought-out communal areas and even little touchs such as a tap outside for your boots/bike/dog etc.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the facilities were excellent. The location was great too. As a family with 2 young children I would definitely recommend. We also had dinner at the Wheatsheaf and the food was really lovely. I think the customer service of the staff and management is superb (how often can you say that?). I had no hair dryer and although I was informed there should have been one, in at least one of the rooms, the Manager brought me her personal hair dryer… I mean WOW!! We will be back xx
Set over looking farm lands, rolling green hills all around Lumley Fee offers peace and tranquility.
Id recommend this place of stay with a difference to anyone – and for those of you that would like to take your pooch away with you it is handy to know that dogs are welcome!
